Green PO Kick-Start

Products shape the World we live in.

Products are all around us. We sleep in them, wear them, use them, eat them, admire them, and avoid them. It’s through products that companies bring value to the world.

In a time of sustainable change, business owners and product professionals must answer the question: How sustainable should our product become?

Sustainability as a moral imperative, an instrument for commercial success or both?

There is a growing trend towards sustainability. Planetary boundaries require it, regulation demands it, competition drives it, and customers pay for it. But the journey towards a sustainable product is full of questions:

  • How much will sustainability cost?
  • Can sustainability be a benefit?
  • Where are the opportunities?
  • What does sustainability mean for my product?
  • How to implement it?
  • Which consequence will it have on our processes?
  • How might other stakeholders react?
  • Where to start?

This course provides answers and gives guidance.

Why this course?

There are thousands of free resources on sustainability, Green IT and product management. What makes this course unique?

Context Aware: Looking at green features or sustainability processes in isolation misses the point and usually won’t have a lasting impact.

Green PO is about navigating the systemic context of a product as a basis for implementing specific actions.

Individual: The value of training comes from the change it makes afterwards.

The course is designed to let you apply the concepts to your individual situation and prepare the implementation of actions towards a more sustainable product.
